Mr. Newton & Las Vegas
Back in 1977 my husband and I went to Las Vegas to visit a good freind of mine who was one of Wayne Newtons back-up singers... We were to meet my friend Lynn Poyner in front of the lobby where we would purchase our tickets for his show....the line was long so we took our place waiting to make our ticket purchase... Lynn came out to meet us and said "Oh No , You don't have to stand in this line." Your tickets have already been paid for... She said your table is ready...I tell you we got a lot of astonished looks as she led us inside... The table was nice and we had a good view of the stage...We thanked her for getting the tickets for us... Then it was show time ...The show had just started when this man came up and said to my husband, Sir I need you to come with me...Allen, my husband asked whats wrong? He said sir, just come with me...He got up and went with him...I was scared to death.. I thought we had done something wrong and they were arresting him... He came back to the table with the man and he was smiling... When Lynn told Wayne Newton we were there in the audiuence he had them move us closer to the front and he told them he was taking care of our tab...and for us to come backsatage after the show.... When the show was over...lynn came and took us backstage... he came in the room where we were and sat and visied with us for over an hour.. He really made us feel welcome.....
